The rooms were roomy and clean, and the view was lovely. Beyond that, the little inconveniences kept piling up and made the stay unpleasant, especially for the price. The toiletries amounted to diluted soap for both shampoo and shower gel, with no bathrobes or slippers. The kitchen had nothing at all, not even salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, filters, napkins or a welcome sweet. I've never had that happen in all my yearly stays at several Greek island hotels. There was no toaster, sandwich maker or espresso machine, and no plugs by the bed. With no shutters on the windows or balcony doors, the sun woke us very early, and even the curtains were too small. The bed was small too. The room's look was badly lacking, like a public service office, with no personal touch or fitting decor.

There are two lovely beaches within walking distance, and a little harbor with cafes and good restaurants just 50 meters away. You can also take the ferry from there to Psara, a 1 hour and 45 minute trip, for lovely beaches and seafood. The apartment complex is on higher ground above the small bay of Limnia, and the view from our balcony in the two-bedroom apartment was breathtaking. The rooms were spacious and sparkling clean, with all the amenities we needed for a holiday. The hosts were warm, polite and welcoming, and there was plenty of parking just steps from the entrance. A fantastic place to stay.

The village is worth a walk, and the two local wineries are great. A car is really needed, though it's hard to make yourself leave the place and explore. We only meant to stay one night but ended up spending all five. The rooms were fabulous, the staff excellent, breakfast amazing and location great.

The resort is family-owned, baby friendly and has parking. From the clean, spacious rooms and balconies, you look out over the port of Volissos, Limnia, where you can catch the boat to Psara island. The location is magnificent, and the views over Lefkathia beach are stunning. My top choice, just go!
