Aquagrand Artistic Luxury Beach Resort - Adults Only

It's upsetting to leave a bad review because the hotel itself was lovely, but a pair of gold earrings went missing from my room and the hotel has done nothing about it. I gave them photo evidence that the earrings had been in the room before I left, yet no investigation was carried out. We asked for documentation so we could make an insurance claim, and they didn't provide it, despite promising to send it the next day. I also never got a sincere apology from the staff. They only apologized after I said how upset I was that no one had even said sorry. We spent the entire last day of our holiday trying to sort this out, and still had to leave without resolving it. Since returning to the UK, we've tried contacting the hotel and manager and got no response. I'm very, very disappointed and upset by this experience. This isn't what I'd expect from a 5 star hotel.

The private-pool rooms with sea views were a dream, and we felt relaxed throughout our stay. Aqua Grand is peaceful and beautifully situated in Rhodes, with everything in great condition. We enjoyed every moment and thought the service was outstanding. Highly recommend it.

That little pebble beach was such a lovely place to unwind, with gorgeous surroundings, a great bar, and attentive service. We also had a spacious private-pool room that felt comfortable and secluded, and the spa’s many treatments made for a really relaxing visit. The hotel itself is beautiful, with thoughtful details that make it feel both luxurious and welcoming. Every team member we met was warm and made us feel at home from arrival. I can’t recommend it enough for its comfort, elegance, and genuine hospitality.

Navarone Bay was the highlight for us. The resort sits right by this beautiful cove on Rhodes’ east coast, with stunning views and easy access to the pebbled beach. Even the local boat rental company said it was the best spot. Our sea-view room was lovely, modern, and clean, with a good bed and bathroom. Bottled water was refilled daily. The resort as a whole was tidy and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. Housekeeping was a bit less careful after the first day, though: drinks were left on top of the fridge instead of inside, and our bathroom things were moved aside and not put back. The meals were mostly very good. Breakfast had all the sweet, savory, fruit, and fresh egg options we expected. Dinner was excellent, especially the desserts, and the chef and pastry team deserve credit. At the beach restaurant, the Greek salad, burgers, and homemade drinks were all great. On day one we waited 45 minutes without an update, then learned there’d been a kitchen accident. The two drinks offered as an apology were appreciated, but they could have told us sooner. There were a couple of room problems. The Wi-Fi kept dropping despite staff saying each room had a strong dedicated signal, which was a problem because my partner needed it for work. The AC swing function was stuck, sending air straight at the bed or floor. We had to wedge in a small object to redirect it. The biggest disappointment was the dinner dress code and the heat. Men had to wear long trousers, closed shoes, and a shirt. I was turned away the first night for wearing shorts, even though I had on a polo and clean shoes. For the next three nights I wore long trousers that were miserable in the heat. The restaurant itself was poorly air-conditioned, and open doors to the terrace made it worse. On our last evening, I arrived after 9 p.m., when shorts were allowed, but the head waitress gave me a disapproving look and gestured toward me while talking to a colleague. That felt inappropriate in a luxury hotel. Alina, who served us most nights, was lovely, attentive, and understanding, even though she couldn’t change the dress rule. Five stars for her. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the in-room breakfast arranged for our early departure was a thoughtful touch. This feels like a five-star hotel in many ways, from its location and food to some of the service, but problems should be handled more consistently. It was an exceptionally hot week and staff were likely under pressure; I hope management plans for heatwaves with better climate control so guests and employees can both be comfortable. My fair rating is four out of five. There’s room to improve, and that matters for real excellence.
