Arte Lindos Suites

We chose Arte Lindos Suite in Lindos, Rhodes, for three nights because the photos showed a beautiful terrace. The room we got had no view or terrace and didn’t resemble the pictures. There was nobody there to welcome us, either. You expect the promised comfort when you pay for it. The sewage smell kept coming into the room, which was disgusting and not acceptable for somewhere presented as high-end. Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. We called and were told vaguely, “I’ll come and fix it,” but no one came and the connection stayed unusable. On our last day there was no running water, so we couldn’t shower or use the toilet. When I phoned, they blamed a city issue. I don’t believe that’s an adequate excuse when a hotel could have ways to manage the situation, especially at these prices. I had to go to another hotel to shower and use the bathroom, and they had water. There was no service, the listing felt misleading, hygiene was questionable, and guests seemed to be an afterthought. I strongly advise against this property and this unprofessional group. Charging so much for such a poor stay is outrageous.

Hot water worked on just two of the seven nights I stayed. Each day they said they’d come fix it tomorrow, but nobody appeared until day five, after I’d contacted Booking.com support twice. The apartment gate was broken, which made security feel questionable. The toilet had a terrible recurring smell and the shower was dirty. The place is small, with no closet, only wall hangers. There’s no car access in the village, so getting around with luggage is quite difficult. If you’re thinking of leaving this so-called Greek paradise, you might even wonder whether staying without hot water is easier. Requests get ignored and you’re left to manage on your own. Not recommended.

The owner really went out of their way to make my partner’s 30th birthday special, and communication was perfect from the time I booked. The cleaner was so friendly, and the room was spotless with a very comfy bed. We had lovely views over Lindos, with the sea and acropolis visible from every window, plus a huge private balcony or terrace. Watching the sunrise there one morning was lovely. It’s a peaceful spot, yet only about a five-minute walk to most restaurants, bars, and shops. The facilities were lovely too. I’m so glad I booked here, and we’ll definitely come back to Lindos and stay again.

Everything matched the description and was really comfortable. Great place, with an excellent host.
