For a beer in Lindos, I think Captain's house is the best place, especially if you’re an Englishman abroad who’s tired of local lager like me. They have a reasonable range of other ales, including dark beers and IPAs. The staff know their stuff and are good fun.

We stopped in for a pint in the middle of the morning and really enjoyed it. There are lots of cool, interesting places to eat and drink in Lindos, and this is another one. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Like everywhere in Lindos, drinks cost more than in other parts of Greece, but we still enjoyed our time here. Thank you.

After the climb, this bar beneath the Acropolis is just right for a quick stop. There’s shade, cold drinks, and the service is quick, so you can refresh yourself before carrying on with your visit.

There’s a small museum at the back, and the music and atmosphere make this hidden gem a lovely place to stop. The owner was full of character and very friendly. He told me he hopes to pass the bar on to his children one day and spend retirement fishing. The toilets were well looked after too. I’d happily come back for another refreshing drink.
