Lindos Complex

The extra €161 for air conditioning came as a shock when we arrived. In that heat it felt essential, so I think the charge should be stated somewhere. The hotel food was very good, but we paid €25 per person for the Greek BBQ and as a family didn't eat any of it, so it was a waste of money. The rest of the stay was amazing. The pools and rooms were more than adequate, and the location was great, with the old town within walking distance. There are beaches and fantastic views all around. Coming back up the hill, I'd take a taxi. The hotel staff were brilliant, particularly the English woman at reception, who was lovely and willing to help with anything. I'd recommend it as a very good three-star hotel.

We were staying at a local hotel that didn't serve evening meals, so we came to Lindos Gardens for a drink and ended up eating there. The couple who served us were wonderful, and the food was fabulous and much cheaper than anything down in the town. We enjoyed it so much that we went about six times over two weeks. We didn't stay at the resort, just ate there several times.

I really liked the friendly staff and the two big pools, an infinity pool and a wrap-around one. The gyros were great, and I'd especially recommend the pool bar for cocktails and smoothies. There was a charge for wifi and air conditioning. I didn't mind paying it since it wasn't too much and the lovely hotel was still good value, but it's something to know about in advance. The room didn't have soap, which seemed unusual, and the nearby shop didn't sell any. I wish we'd known so we could have brought some. Still, I loved the hotel and would definitely return.

The view from our room, 1L, over the pool, the Acropolis, and a nearby church was breathtaking, and the fresh, modern rooms and restaurant were even nicer than they looked online. The air conditioning cost extra, but worked brilliantly and made a huge difference in the summer heat. The room sits at the highest point of the complex, so the climb is worth bearing in mind if you have mobility concerns. Getting into Lindos village takes 10-15 minutes on foot and includes a steep hill, but the village is built around the Acropolis, so it felt part of its character. Buggies are available, or a taxi costs 5 euros. There was plenty to do on site, including Greek nights, karaoke, and live music. We found plenty of sunbeds by going down early, and the pool stayed relaxing, but guests reserved loungers with towels and staff didn't enforce the signs saying unused beds would be cleared. The staff were the real heart of Lindos Gardens. Barbora and Mike were always efficient, kind, and smiling at breakfast, even on long shifts. We loved being able to mix and match from the menu instead of sticking to set choices. Nicholas at the pool bar took time to learn what we liked and made cocktails that weren't on the menu. The housekeeping and grounds staff greeted us warmly, and reception were helpful and welcoming. Everything about our stay felt smooth and uplifting. Lindos Gardens was faultless. I'll definitely be back and recommend it for the views, relaxed welcome, and authentic feel. 💙
