We packed up and left as soon as we could. After calling management, we were promised pest control, but hours later the hallways were still crawling with cockroaches. We then emailed to ask for a refund because of the health hazard. The reply was basically, “thanks for staying, come back anytime.” The lack of accountability was almost as bad as the cockroaches. There were large flying cockroaches throughout the hallways, stairs and common areas. We got back from dinner to find them everywhere and had to seal our room to keep them out. My girlfriend was so worried they’d get in that she couldn’t sleep until 3am. The hotel is also right next to a busy bus terminal, with loud noise from 6:30am, something the listing didn’t disclose. Between the roaches and the buses, we got maybe three hours of sleep. There are plenty of clean hotels in Lindos. Skip this one unless you want uninvited six-legged roommates on your holiday.

The location was good, but it couldn’t make up for how awful the stay was. For all 10 nights I was bitten every single night. I barely slept and woke each morning covered in painful, itchy bites. I documented everything with photos, and the bites clearly matched a bed bug pattern. Staff took minimal, ineffective steps: they changed the mattress and washed a rug, but didn’t treat the full room or offer us another one. When I asked for compensation, they denied responsibility. I left angry, exhausted and covered in bites. My holiday was completely ruined.

There are plenty of places nearby to eat out or get takeaways, and the apartments have a free pool with sunbeds that serves lovely lunches. The staff are very nice too. Lindos Town is a 10-minute walk down a steep hill. Walking back up in 30-degree heat is really tough. I have asthma and struggled with it, so I’d advise taking a taxi back up for just 5 euros, well worth it. I’m in my late 50s, and it’s a small price to pay. For anyone under 40, the walk back probably wouldn’t be a problem. The apartments aren’t right in the heart of Lindos, but they have everything you need around them.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a balcony facing the Acropolis. It’s in a great spot for walking to Lindos town and the beaches.

The apartment was lovely and very clean, and the WiFi was superb. I only missed having a butter knife. There was a toaster, but I had to spread the butter with the handle of a teaspoon. The balcony was great, with gorgeous views.
