The rooms could use some care, they feel tired, and I wouldn’t rate them five stars. Still, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel. The location is beautiful, the grounds are lovely, and there’s great live music in the evenings. Staff were what made the holiday, from reception to the pool bar and regular bar, everyone was lovely. They did their best to cater for allergies, too. The spa was nice and I had a lovely treatment. It’s a taxi ride into Lindos town, and sometimes there’s a wait, though you can sit in reception while you do.

The views from around the hilltop were serene, and even with all those steps down to the pool, I didn’t mind at all. There are slopes alongside the stairs for anyone who can’t manage them. I also couldn’t hear any noise from the family hotel next door. I spent my 30th birthday at Lindos Villge Spa and Resort by myself, nervous because it was my first solo holiday. From the moment I arrived until I was picked up to go home, I was treated like a princess. The food was fresh and incredible, and everything was sparkling clean and crisp, like a palace. My spa treatment left me feeling like a new woman. Everyone was professional and helpful, and I never felt unsafe as a solo female traveller. Hand on heart, it was my best holiday ever. I’ll book again for my birthday next year and can’t wait to see more of Lindos. Thank you so much!

The sunrise was lovely, and Lindos is nice, but checking out was the best part. We booked because Easyjet advertised a five-star hotel with six restaurants. This was the most upgraded room available through Easyjet, yet the place felt more like two or three stars, with five-star prices for the accommodation and service. There weren’t six restaurants: half-board guests could use one, another à la carte place cost extra and was empty, and the pool bar was extra too. So really, it’s one restaurant and a snack bar you pay extra for. Our first room was disgusting, so we had to move. The second had no water or coffee, and nowhere to plug in the coffee machine. They wanted 2 Euro per coffee pod, and during our three awful nights we had no tea or coffee making facilities. The TV sat on the vanity unit and was barely usable because the WiFi and mirroring didn’t work reliably. There were no USB ports or even sockets in the bedroom, so phones couldn’t be kept by the beds. You had to ask for tables to be set up at breakfast. The food was lacking, slow and lacklustre, and the staff following us around felt creepy and weird. They even charge for water with the half-board evening meal.

The breakfast buffet was a plus, with lots to choose from and generally tasty food, and the staff were lovely and friendly. But the room and the photos were a real mismatch. This felt closer to a Greek Travelodge than a three-star hotel. We booked a double deluxe panoramic sea view, though the view only seemed panoramic if you went to the far corner of the deck and leaned halfway over the edge. The bathroom was particularly bad. The toilet is almost under the sink, leaving your legs underneath it, so if you’re a larger person, good luck using it. The shower barely drains and spills onto the floor, and the old silicone needs replacing. The shower soap labels were worn off, and the bathroom reeked of urine. I’m not sure why, and not sure I want to know, but it seemed to come back through the toilet after flushing, like a truck stop outhouse. There’s no hook for a wet towel anywhere, and if you’re over 5’7”, the shower head is freakishly low. There’s nowhere for the toilet paper, so it sits on the tiny counter and gets wet when you wash your hands. You only get two caffeinated coffee pods, then it’s 2 € per pod for more. The rooms are outdated and need renovation. Music played every night until around 10:30-11, and you could hear everything through the closed door, so don’t expect to sleep before then.

The only nice parts were receptionist Maria, who was very helpful, and the lovely lemonade we got when we arrived. The rest was a terrible experience. The hotel was dirty, broken and smelly, and our basic room also had dirty, broken things. The food was basic and the pool was small and basic. It’s meant to be adults only, but there’s a children’s pool with slides on the other side of the wall. Rubble and a digger outside the entrance didn’t help. It doesn’t live up to a five-star rating. It needs a major clean and upgrade, and a lower star rating.
