Litohoro Olympus Resort

We left for another nearby hotel because the pricing and reception interaction made us feel scammed. We had paid extra for a “special offer” that included VIP access to a club, though most beds there were actually free during the week. On our last day, when we asked to add one more night, the reception lady quoted more than the website. When we pointed out the website was 50€ less per night, she said booking that would mean moving us to a basement room, and then the website offer disappeared. The online family room offers on booking disappeared too. The place has potential and looks nice, with interesting decor, but it was very poorly maintained. Our family room had hair and dust and smelled bad, especially the bathroom, so we asked them to clean it before we could accept it. The food had little taste or variety. Breakfast was basic and the same all week. Sometimes we even felt the omelette had been reheated from the day before. It was a mixed experience, and the management was lousy.

The grounds are really well laid out, with three pools, lots of space to lounge by the water or under the trees, and plenty of seating away from the pool too. Bar service was available around the grounds. We had a spacious, clean room for two adults and a child, with a nice view of Olympus and cleaning every day. Breakfast had a broad choice to suit different tastes. We also tried the dinner buffet one evening, which had a range of tasty Greek dishes. All the staff were kind, friendly, and professional. Receptionists, waiters, baristas, and the cleaning ladies were quick and efficient as well as super friendly. We had a great time at Litohoro Olympus Resort and would certainly return.

Breakfast was disappointing, with a very limited choice and food running out quickly. The location was good, though there’s no direct beach access, so you have to go outside to one of the beach bars. We had a very good time there. The room was a little worn, probably because it was the end of the season.

The location is good, the beach is average, and the staff are very polite. Most of the rooms have already been renovated, but the pool and the rest of the surroundings are old and poorly maintained. The hotel needs an immediate refresh to keep its 4 star rating.
