Cavo Olympo Luxury Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

We rented a car at the airport and explored the area, so there was plenty to do. After hiking, this small hotel felt like a peaceful little retreat, and we liked that there was room for everyone to find their own spot. The infinity pool is beautiful, and the sunrises over the Olympus mountains made for a special view on most days. The food was very good, the staff were great, and I liked the bath products too. We had a very good stay last September with my husband. I only used the sauna in the spa, and it took a long time to warm up. One other thing about our half-board package: we had to pay each time we wanted sparkling water or coffee with a restaurant meal. People have different habits around alcohol and how often they eat, so it would be nice to have a package for guests who are more health conscious, like full board, that lets them enjoy their meals without those extra charges. It’s a lovely place to rest.

The setting is interesting, especially if you enjoy the mountains. By the sea, the hotel feels peaceful and romantic, and the beach can be used, though it’s quite rocky. There’s a lovely infinity pool, a good spa and fitness area, a generous breakfast, and a fine à la carte restaurant. The staff are kind.

We spent two wonderful weeks here, and the big terrace with its view of Mount Olympus was a highlight. Our Superior room was spacious, and the super king bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was superb, especially enjoyed while looking out over the huge infinity pool and the sea. From the moment we arrived, every staff member made us feel welcome and did all they could to make our stay special. It’s a relaxing base for exploring the mountain, nearby towns and villages, and the fabulous local restaurants.

The place really does look like the photos, and the sunsets over dinner were as picturesque as you could hope for. The food was excellent, with something different from day to day. There’s a private beach at the bottom of the cliff, bars by both the beach and pool, and a flawless infinity pool. We stayed in 2023, and I especially remember our waiter Dimitris. He always found us a great Greek wine, with plenty of variety if we wanted it, and never anything too expensive. When we wanted to get out, we could hike Mount Olympus with a guide or on our own, or visit the nearby seafood restaurants. The sound of the ocean and the beautiful hotel were hard to get tired of. Highly recommended.
