Kallisto Traditional Guesthouse

The owner was a friendly lady, and we had a pleasant stay. For anyone sensitive to noise, earplugs may be a good idea. Also, check how to get the key before you arrive. Parking is limited, though you can generally park along the road, and you can borrow a hair dryer. Shampoo and soap were provided free of charge. We were here for an Olympus hike, and the host kindly let us leave our luggage at the guesthouse while we were hiking. Breakfast was at 8:30am, leaving enough time to drive to prionia and climb to refuge A afterwards. Thanks for the hospitality :)

It was a lovely, welcoming place to stay, with an interesting feel to it. Anna greeted us so warmly. We had a nice walk into the village centre, though finding the accommodation was difficult because the map was wrong. Message Anna for the correct location.

It's a very special guesthouse, set in the oldest building in the village, dating back 350 years. Though old, it's well maintained and clean, with a great mountain feel :) The lady-owner's personal attention and hospitality were outstanding. Before our Olympus trek, she gave us useful tips and offered help in every way she could. There is also designated parking where you can leave your car during the trek. A perfect spot for a good night's sleep and those final preparations before trekking Mount Olympus. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay here, one of our favorites in Greece. Breakfast was included and served at a shared table where we could chat with the other guests. The host cooked the eggs herself, and the bread was local. She also arranged a taxi to Prionia for the next day and kindly let us leave a small bag of clothes behind so we had less to carry on our Olympus hike. We picked it up a few days later. The owner was warm and welcoming when we arrived and quickly made us feel comfortable. While checking us in, she told us a little about the place and recommended where to eat and what to visit. We had planned to stroll around town before going to the mountain the following day, but took her suggestion of some short hikes instead and enjoyed them before dinner at a place she recommended. Our room was cozy, and the beds were comfortable. I liked that the soap provided was artisanal rather than commercially made. I regretted not packing it to take with me, since we had used it and it would otherwise have been discarded. Highly recommended in Litochoro!
