Babis gave us his last available room, which was very spacious. We spent two nights there in early September with our daughter. The suite had two rooms, was sparkling clean, and had a balcony overlooking the ocean. It’s a gem of a hotel, the kind of perfect, old-timey, family-run place that's hard to find anymore. We loved it!

Babis was happy to share information about Serifos, so be sure to take notes. We were impressed by how much care he, his family, and the staff showed us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was perfect each morning, with plenty of choices and different pastries so it wasn't the same every day. Maistrali sits right on the main road from the port, with lots of restaurant options, plenty of beachfront, and a mini market a 4 minute walk away. Our stay was wonderful, and we'd definitely stay again on our next trip to Serifos. The people at Maistrali, and on Serifos in general, are just really great.

I never actually stayed at The Maistrali Hotel, but I came away wanting to. I had meant to book a hotel on Kythnos and somehow booked The Maistrsli Hotel on Livadi instead. I only realized the mistake less than 48 hours before we were due to arrive, and the policy was no refunds. I explained the mix-up and asked if they'd make an exception. I wasn't expecting much, but the hotel manager, Mr Bobalos, emailed to say he understood and would waive the policy and give me a full refund. In today's world, where the dollar seems more important than people, that kindness and understanding was refreshing and encouraging. I only regret not getting to stay and meet this lovely man. When we travel to the Greek Islands again, we'll definitely include Livadi and The Maistrali Hotel.

The location made it easy to get to lovely beaches, Chora, and the port, and the price felt right for what I got. On my first visit to Serifos, I fell for the island’s wild, authentic beauty. Hotel Maistrali had a welcoming, family feel, and I was comfortable there. The cleaning was excellent, and the cleaner was friendly. The owner, Babis? (I may not have remembered his name correctly), was a lovely host, and his daughter gave me lots of helpful tips. I’m sure I’ll be back 🥰

We had plenty of room, a stunning view, and all the amenities we needed. Hotel Maistrali is very close to Livadi port, with lots of cafes and restaurants around. The owner was extremely friendly and always ready to help or offer advice for making the most of Serifos. Thank you!
