Elesia Boutique Hotel

The owners, Dimitrios and his wife, were lovely, honest, caring, and always ready to help make our island stay a good one. They created a warm, relaxed atmosphere despite the high-end room and services. Breakfast was great, and they prepared a picnic basket for us to enjoy on the beach. My friend and I spent a week there and felt lucky throughout. The location is fantastic, with direct access to a beautiful, peaceful beach just seconds away. Livadi’a beach and great restaurants are within walking distance, and Chora is about 10 minutes away by car. The view was fantastic too.

Our stay at Elesia was the highlight of a lovely August trip to three Greek islands. The pictures really don’t do the place justice, and our biggest mistake was not staying longer. Mitch, Kate, and their whole family made us feel genuinely welcome and clearly wanted us to have a great time on their island. The setting is wonderful, and Elesia felt like a great way to experience this lovely island. We travelled with our three boys, and the place suited our family well. I could also see it working just as nicely for a honeymoon. I hope we can return someday, and we’ll be telling friends about it for a while.

The owners are on hand to help with dinner reservations, boat tours, and other things, which is a lovely touch. The hotel is fabulous, with beautifully designed rooms where every detail has been considered. Breakfasts are delicious, the housekeeping staff are lovely, and the owners are wonderful hosts. Highly recommended.

The views were unforgettable, and our boys are already asking when we can come back. Honestly, we feel the same way. From the moment we arrived, Elesia Boutique Hotel in Astypalea felt like home. Mitch, Kate and family welcomed us with such genuine warmth, and we got to experience Astypalea through local eyes instead of just passing through. We left with full hearts.
