Kalderimi

Breakfast was the highlight for us, easily the best we’ve had anywhere in Greece. Everything was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Katerina gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and made us feel at home. At Kalderimi Astypalaia, the rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless, and offer stunning views of either the sea or charming Chora. Waking up to that scenery was a dream. It was an unforgettable stay, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Astypalaia for comfort, beauty, and warm hospitality.

Our room, “Karai”, was lovely, and the breakfast was perfect. The room was very clean, Maria was honest, and all the staff were friendly. The location is ideal, though you need to rent a car on this island anyway. One of the best beaches is also very close. This was one of our best stays in the Greek islands. The apartment was exceptionally well designed, blending traditional Greek island houses with modern conveniences, and the setting gave us breathtaking views of Chora. The first thing I’d mention is how kind the owner and all the employees were. Many thanks to the waitress who served the wonderful homemade breakfast and gave us great advice on places to explore in Asty. We had an amazing stay at Kalderimi house and would fully recommend it, and Asty too, for the authentic feel of a remote Greek island even in peak season. Thank you so much!

The balcony was a highlight, with views of the castle, Livadi beach, and the mountains descending to the Aegean. Every morning felt like a travel brochure come to life. The little house was beautiful, spotless, and had just what we needed. The staff made us feel welcome with great breakfasts and helpful insight into island life. The complex felt like a small oasis, yet the beach and Chora were only a short walk away. Months later, we still think about our lovely stay at Kalderimi every day. We can't recommend it enough.
