You’ll need a car here, and one comes with the property. The place has a full kitchen, a great balcony, and more storage than I’ve seen in a rental. Internet speed was 12 MBS in practice. With the peaceful setting, lovely view, and excellent facilities, it’s a great option for a long holiday.

The house is very spacious, with a beautiful terrace, and it has everything needed to make a small meal or breakfast. The furnishings feel a little dated, but they work, and the cleaning service was excellent. It’s in a fantastic but somewhat isolated spot, which is why a car is included in the price. Watch out for the wind and mosquitoes, though that comes with being by the sea in Greece. It suits couples and families alike.

The apartment was roomy and clean, with simple furnishings. We got a friendly welcome and useful tips about the island, and the terrace has a wonderful view. It’s a very quiet location, unless you count all the mosquitoes buzzing around. A few things were disappointing. The bathtub had a shower curtain, and the small, old tube TV had only three channels. There was no welcome package when we arrived, and no one offered one. Buy water and drinks at the supermarket before heading back to Livadia and unpacking. We had to leave by noon, but at 11:40 a.m. local time on departure day the cleaner was already on the terrace with laundry for the next guests. After a morning hike, it felt uncomfortable to shower while she was there. It would be better if arrivals and departures both happened after and by noon, respectively. What a shame.
