Galaxy Hotel

A car is handy here since the hotel is about a three-minute drive from the city. There's a little private beach nearby, and our room had a big balcony overlooking the sea. The beds were comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the air conditioning was excellent. It's a small family-run place, kept clean and tidy, and they respond to requests with a smile. I'd recommend it and come back.

For a single night, it was manageable, and I'm glad we didn't stay longer. We had no hot water for showers or Wi-Fi, and the balcony was so dirty that walking barefoot was out of the question. The window view wasn't what we'd expected, and there are better hotels for the same price. Although check-in described the bed as a double, it was two beds pushed together that kept sliding apart.

Genesis Hotel is no longer there. They're only building apartments on the site now, so one star.

Room cleaning didn't happen until we'd asked twice, and the first full clean came only on day five. The blocked bathroom drain was simply ignored. That's unacceptable to us, especially since we followed the Greek hygiene practice of putting toilet paper in the bin. The rooms are cluttered and have hardly any proper closet space, mostly open shelves. Breakfast was repetitive and uninspired, with the same cheese and no meat options. The coffee wasn't much better, sometimes coming from a small machine with a filter that seemed to be rinsed and reused. Definitely not recommended.
