Hotel Achillion

The steamed mussels are the dish I keep thinking about. They feel comforting and personal, with fresh ingredients, a lovely aroma, and flavors that come together just right. Everything else I’ve tried has been delicious and high quality too. Each meal here leaves me with a sense of peace and happiness, so I’ll keep coming back.

The food at the restaurant on site was good, and the place worked for us as a stopover before moving on. The beach shown in the pictures wasn’t there when we visited. Maybe there used to be one in front of the hotel, but there wasn’t then. I know it’s a two-star place, but clean sheets and curtains would still be nice. It is what it is.

A quiet, clean place with free parking and good traditional food. The family running it are warm and welcoming, and there’s no unnecessary show of luxury. I liked it so much I almost don’t want to tell people about it, in case it gets too popular and noisy ;)

The village is small, so you can walk to everything in about 5-10 minutes, and the hotel’s location is hard to beat. It has an old-fashioned eighties look, but that gives it some charm. The restaurant is very good, the staff are attentive without hovering, the mattresses are comfortable, and the rooms are a good size. Parking behind the hotel is convenient, and the price feels fair. There are some drawbacks because the hotel is old. The shower didn’t work properly, probably in most rooms, and the old doors let a lot of sound through. The maids came in during the morning without being asked, so there should be “Do not disturb” signs in the rooms. On the hotel itself, I’d give four stars, but my impression of the hotel and village together was excellent, so I’m giving the top rating.
