The house had useful essentials stocked, including toilet rolls, which helped. Fotini was very responsive before we booked, and George, the ‘housemaid’, was lovely and accommodating. When the cot broke and we needed a stair gate, he sorted it straight away. He also saw my passport as the head guest and surprised me with a birthday cake. The property is gorgeous, in the mountains, with great views, and you do need a car. The bathrooms were a little dated, and our main issue was all the outdoor stairs. With our 18-month-old, we had to watch her every step. I wish the photos had shown how many stairs there were so we could have been prepared. The eight of us managed to keep someone with her all the time, but I don’t think it’s the best place for toddlers. We’d love to come back to Kefelonia and stay here when the baby is less drawn to steps. Thanks, Emma.

We spent time playing in the pool and relaxing around it, and fired up the BBQ a few times. The villa was beautiful, with clean, spacious rooms and great views. I’d absolutely recommend it for a wonderful holiday.
