The whole resort is accessible, from the rooms and bathrooms to the dining area and terraces, with lifts and no thresholds. The pool has a gently sloping ramp, so guests can use specially designed wheelchairs to get into the water. That’s a big part of why we’d recommend Eria Resort, especially to anyone with mobility challenges. We spent ten days there, and the staff’s kindness and willingness to help stood out. Diamanto and the team made us feel like we were back among friends, and were keen for us to have a truly restful holiday. Excursions are available if you want them, but there’s no pressure to join. There’s live music one evening, plus a Greek night with Cretan dancing and matching appetizers. Breakfast is a generous buffet with sweet and savory choices, and there was still plenty even when we came later. At the bar, you can order drinks, cocktails and mocktails, as well as local spirits like raki and ouzo. Until 4 p.m., they also serve light meals and local specialties. For dinner, we especially liked that they highlighted local food, including dishes you don’t find in the really touristy areas. All in all, a fantastic stay in every way.

I’m Hugo Venis, and this is my daughter’s account. I had a perfect stay at Eria, though once I got home I felt it had been too short. Everyone was so sweet and kind, and they did whatever we asked. At breakfast they helped me and brought everything to my table, and the food was very good. Dinner was great too, with extras like different kinds of fruit. I told my friends about the pool, where people could use a lift and then a wheelchair to get into the water. We could also get around by wheelchair in the bus or car for sightseeing, and everything went perfectly. A score of 10 doesn’t feel like enough. In Dutch, we’d say 11, more than perfect. The place is set up well for people with disabilities, and I’d love to return. The staff are adorable, and the breakfast, dinner, snacks, and drinks are all delicious. I strongly recommend staying here.

Leaving was hard because we felt so comfortable there. The Manager Mrs Apostolaki is one of a kind and does everything she can to make guests feel at home. Everyone was lovely, warm-hearted, and always ready to help. Staying at this fantastic resort felt like coming home to family. We’ll definitely be back ❤️🤗🏖️☀️🥰
