The location is the one good thing I can say about these apartments, close to the beach and still quiet in the evening. Otherwise, they’re in poor condition and badly furnished, and I can’t see them earning more than one star. We also had the lovely experience of finding cockroaches and having to battle mosquitoes.

For us, this was an absolutely awful apartment in Crete. It was dirty and extremely bare, with blood spots from squashed mosquitoes on the wall and mold around the refrigerator. In the mornings, the owner was very loud in the hallway or stairwell. Women sat there talking loudly each morning, disturbing the peace and making it impossible for outsiders to walk through the building to the beach.

Right by the sea, these apartments were comfortable, well kept, and very clean. The hosts were helpful and tried their best to meet all our requests.

It’s a nice little apartment complex, with the beach close by and great infrastructure. The rooms are practical, though anyone hoping for a modern look will be disappointed.
