Hotel Sofia

We stayed in July 2025 with our four-year-old. This small, traditional Greek hotel feels like a hidden treasure. There’s greenery all around, and the lobby is cosy, almost like someone’s living room. From the moment we arrived, we felt calm and welcome. If you arrive in the morning, the kind owner will greet you and invite you to breakfast. That’s where you meet Nova. Her warmth makes you feel like you’re visiting an auntie after years apart. If you’ve never had an auntie like that, just go and see for yourself. She’s so friendly and endlessly patient with little ones, making funny faces to make them laugh as they explore the breakfast area. The chef’s homemade breakfast is delicious, like something your grandma would cook. The rooms are basic but cosy, always spotless and fresh-smelling, thanks to the cleaning ladies who take real care. The clean swimming pool is lovely for relaxing. Outside, the beach is long and wide, with natural shade from trees and a mountain behind it. Even in high season, there were very few people there. If you prefer a personal touch to a large hotel complex, put this place on your list.

The people here are super nice, and you feel welcome straight away. I loved the sweet hospitality, clean and pleasant rooms, and delicious breakfast in the morning. Hotel Sofia made every moment of my holiday lovely. I’d definitely recommend a visit, or more than one, like I’ve had myself!

Nova and Vasilis are wonderful hosts, and we can’t wait to return. The hotel has a great location for getting to beaches and local tavernas, including Niko's Taverna. It’s a beautiful family-run place that feels like home, with well-kept grounds, a fun bar, and a huge pool. Breakfast was amazing each day, with plenty of variety. Saturday’s barbecue was outstanding and a great chance to mingle. Our spacious room was super clean every day, and they left animal-shaped towels on the bed.

I’m already missing Sofia Hotel and can’t wait to go back. Kampos was such a chill spot, with a great location, the best beach, and shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is right in the center, so the beach was close enough to walk to from bed in no time. The owners and staff made the place feel like home. Breakfast had so much variety, and that fig jam was so good I could eat it all day. My room was spotless every day thanks to the cleaning service. The ladies were sweet and helpful, and even brought me an extra pillow when they saw I was using a blanket as one. The pool was perfect when it was too windy for the beach.
