The buildings sit around a green garden that gives you shade and keeps things cooler. The place is old, but very clean. There’s no reception desk. The man who runs it is around each morning until noon; after that, the cleaning lady and later the very nice woman who waters the garden every day are the people to contact. The pool is clean, slightly salty, and ranges from 1.2 m to 3 m deep. You can use it late at night, just keep the noise down. Aircon costs 8 eur per day, though you may not need it all the time, so it’s up to you. Tourist tax is 2 eur per room per day. Kampos is a good base if you plan to stay in the area, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. For the main tourist spots, though, it’s a drive: about an hour over the mountain to Pytagorio, over an hour to Samos or Kokkari, and 30 minutes to Karlovasi. A really nice value for money place to relax.

For the price, it’s a fair deal, and we were happy with our stay. We mainly needed a place to sleep, so didn’t spend much time there. The pool is very nice, the manager is extremely friendly, and the location is pretty good. It’s just outside town, so it’s quiet, and only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and a supermarket. There’s no shop on site, though, so you’ll need to go out. The shower was a real annoyance: water splashes all over the bathroom, and the fixture doesn’t fit, so there’s nowhere to hang the showerhead.

The owner was wonderful, always checking in and sharing great tips for things to do. We had spacious rooms that were well equipped with everything we needed and more, and they were cleaned regularly. The salt water pool was spotless too. It felt like a fantastic little sanctuary. If we return to Samos, this is where we’d love to stay again. We’d give it more than five stars if we could!

We enjoyed the pool a lot, especially the salty water, and ended up extending our planned three-night stay because we liked it so much. Alekos is such a friendly, welcoming person and gave us great tips for the region, which suited us since we don’t like touristy places. The rooms are simple but very clean, exactly what we wanted. Great location, and we’ll definitely come back.

Alekos was such a helpful host and took care of all the little things we needed. We stayed as a couple in one of the studios and had a great time. There are plenty of taverns within walking distance, and the beach is right outside. The apartments are in an excellent spot, and we’ll definitely come back!
