Aeolia Apartments

Gerli made us feel so welcome, and it was a pleasure having her as our host. The garden is large, green, and has lots of room for kids, plus parking. Our bright room was spotless, from the bedding and towels to the dishes, and had everything we needed. The place is right by a lovely beach, with hills and mountains all around. We stayed in May 2023 for a relaxing break and would definitely recommend it.

We’re heading back to Syros and Lisa’s Aeolia’s apartments this September for visit number six, which probably says enough! Ermoupoli town centre, the bus stop, and the port are just a few minutes away on foot, and taxis are reasonably priced, so we’ve never needed to hire a car. Lisa answers questions straight away, speaks fluent English and French, and is always happy to help. She and her husband Kostas make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The apartment has everything, even a Nespresso coffee machine, and the washing machine is handy for beach towels, though you’ll need to bring your own. Just pack a rucksack and relax.

I hadn’t felt this relaxed in ages. You can hear the waves from the beach, which is just across the street if you want to swim. Our apartment was tidy and very clean, and the owner was welcoming and helpful. They have parking and even treated us to homemade bread. For what it costs, I got more than I expected, and I’d come back.

I spent a month and a half at Aeolia apartments in August 2020 with my blind cat Homeria, and we both loved being by the sea at Aghia Marina. Gerli and her family were warm and welcoming. I’ll remember the freshly baked 'tsoureki', afternoon coffee, and swims for a long time. A lovely surprise was meeting Jagoda, a little girl who came with her parents and brother. We exchanged gifts and became good friends. A 10 for this lovely summer holiday. Thank you, Gerli and family. Joanna Missios
