Myrto Hotel

We had a quiet room overlooking the garden, and the hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the airport. The garden and pool are nice, and the staff are friendly and willing to help. The stay was generally good, though the room, especially the bathroom, needs renovation. It didn't bother us too much since we were out most of the time, but the work needed is visible. Breakfast was poor: everything was cold and stale, and the only thing you could really make was a sandwich. There were eggs, but they weren't edible.

It's a family run place with friendly staff and excellent service. The room was clean and quiet, the bed comfortable, and it had A/C, a hot shower, a balcony with a sea view, free WIFI, and a soundproof door to the balcony. The pool and garden are nice, with plenty of shade. There's a restaurant and bar in the hotel, serving at the pool all day. Rafina Town and the ferry port for many islands are a 10 minute Uber ride away. You can also find boat, snorkling, and diving excursions nearby. Athens city centre is 40 minutes by Uber, around 50 euros. Small beaches with clear water, decent snorkling, and lots of restaurants are a 10 minute walk away. The area can feel dull and quiet during the day compared with a bigger city, but it's peaceful.

We had a lovely breakfast every day, and both the children and adults enjoyed it. From the first moment, the sweetest lady made us feel welcome. The service was wonderful all day, every day, and we had the greatest holiday at Hotel Myrto. I'd recommend it and hope to visit again next time we fly to Athens on our way to Marathonas.

The rooms are just average, and our extra bed was bent. The bathroom was gross. The older woman running the hotel seemed focused on getting money from us. The location isn't great either, with graffiti covered walls and nothing else around.
