We arrived around midnight, found heavy mold and a damp smell, and couldn't sleep. There was no staff on site, and Hotels.com couldn't reach management overnight. We checked out the next morning. Management then blamed us for not contacting them directly at midnight and refused even a partial refund. This felt unsafe and dishonest, and the communication was hostile. The shuttle policy was also confusing. The instructions suggest special requests are needed only during certain time windows, but don't make clear that service is severely limited at other times. When I asked for a ride for our 3:50 PM flight, management refused and offered only 8:30 AM. After I called Hotels.com to cancel, they denied a refund, then somehow found a 9:45 AM slot once customer service got involved. The room is a poorly altered part of a larger house with almost no ventilation. The mold and dampness seemed like a serious structural problem that would take major construction to fix. As a seasoned traveler and property manager, this is the first negative review I've ever had to write. I had trouble uploading a video and will post it once I figure that out.

The only thing that didn't work for me was the pillows, though I'm fussy about pillows, so that may just be my issue. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and lovely. I think it could work for either a short or longer stay. It's in a peaceful spot between Athens and the ocean, and airport transfers are included at specific times.

The airport rides there and back were included and worked really well, and communication with the company was excellent. We stayed one night during an Athens layover, and the spotless apartment had everything you might need even for a longer visit. There's a restaurant a couple of minutes down the street called Pizza Michele. We got pizza and pasta to take away and really enjoyed it.

We slept well, and the beds were comfortable for us. The place was quiet, with shops and coffee places an easy walk away, and we had a lovely afternoon and dinner nearby. Getting in was simple with the instructions they sent, and both the free ride from Athens and the very early return trip to the airport went smoothly. Our only small complaint was the strong damp smell in the downstairs apartment. Even so, we'd be happy to come back.

I wouldn't book again because the beds felt like concrete, and the shuttle schedule was far too limited. We could only get a ride after 3 pm, and the last transfer the next day was at 10.30am. There are plenty of more comfortable places nearby, and Marcopolou has lots of layover options. The apartment itself was clean, attractive, and well equipped, with a lovely courtyard. It's in a safe neighborhood, close to an AB supermarket and local restaurants, and about a 10-minute drive from the airport.
