Athens Habitat

We only needed a place for the night between our flight and ferry, and it was clean, cozy, and practical. The car trouble made us late checking out, but the staff were so helpful. Once we got the car sorted, they let us stay a little longer and use the shower.

A few blocks away there’s a good bakery, and there are horse stables near building #2, which was interesting. The room itself is spacious, clean, and well kept, with nice linens, towels, and pillows, plus good wifi. I didn’t try breakfast. Parking may be hard if you miss their reserved spots, and traffic on the main roads is heavy.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but the noise was a real problem. From my first-floor room I heard the main entrance slam every time someone came or went, and there was no soundproofing between nearby rooms either. Having to walk from building 1 to building 2 with my luggage was disappointing, and breakfast meant making the same walk. Breakfast was included, as far as I know, but the choices were very limited. The internet kept dropping or running too slowly, which made working really difficult.

For my work trip, the location worked well, though getting to and from the city center can mean traffic or driving at night. My Grand Suite was roomy and had a big balcony I never got around to using. The bed was nice, and the room had plenty for a longer stay, including a kitchen, fridge, ironing board, safe, and bug repellents. They cleaned daily, changed the towels, and even opened the windows for fresh air. The bathroom was stocked with towels, bathrobes, toothbrushes, and soap, so I didn’t find anything missing.
