Harama Hotel Schinousa

The rooms are very clean, each with a great view and a large balcony, and you'll feel right at home. The food is excellent, with Greek dishes and the best Italian food on the island. Service gets five stars. It feels like paradise within paradise.

The room was comfortable, tastefully furnished, and had a lovely view from both sides. It stayed breezy, too. We also loved the food, which gives traditional Greek dishes a thoughtful, high-quality twist. Stefanie and her family are warm, attentive hosts who balance professionalism with genuine friendliness. Harama is one of those places we find ourselves dreaming about when we think of the Greek islands. Set outside town on the road to Mesaria, it’s a lovely walk back from the center at night, with wonderful scents along the way. The summer breeze and starry skies make it a special place to unwind. We hope we can stay there during Easter sometime, when the island is at its fullest.

The family-run tavern serves breakfast along with delicious local meat, fish, and salads. The room was clean, comfortable, and decorated in a modern style, with an amazing view from the balcony. The location is handy for two lovely beaches, Psili Ammos and Gerolimionas, and it’s about a ten-minute walk to the village. A perfect place to stay on Schoinousa!

We booked just one night after reading a few reviews, but ended up asking to stay another day. The island feels like paradise, and the hotel is in a peaceful spot near Psili Ammons Beach. Hora is about a 30-minute walk away. Dimitris picked us up at the port when we arrived in Schinuossa at 11:30 am on September 3, then drove us to the hotel and on to Tsigouri beach. He and Stephanie were excellent owners, and Dimitris is an extraordinary chef. If you eat lunch or dinner at Hamara guesthouse, try the moussaka and figs in syrup.
