Akroyali Seafront Retreat - Charming Suites

We had another really enjoyable stay and will be back. The rooms are a decent size and very clean, everything works, and there’s plenty of hot water. The TV has lots of channels, mostly German. We chose half board, and the food was so good we didn’t eat anywhere else. Breakfast is buffet style, with lots of fresh fruit and local treats. My partner loves eggs and bacon, and they serve those too. The staff are very friendly, and Nikos goes out of his way to make the stay a good one. There’s a secure, shaded hotel car park across the road. It’s well placed for Koroni and sights like Methoni and Pylos. The organized beach is a two minute walk away, with sand and very small pebbles.

I stayed at Akroyali Hotel in 2023, and as soon as I got my first phone I wanted to write a review. It felt surreal. The hotel is small, cute, and beautiful, with a view of the docks and the lovely Greek sea. If you’re staying in the area, I absolutely recommend it!

Having breakfast beside the quiet marina each morning was priceless, and there’s a really nice beach right next door. We stayed with family, though it’d also suit couples or solo travelers. Make sure to visit Ancient Messenne if you’re in the area. This family run hotel is a real gem, kept to a very high standard compared with hotels I’ve visited in cities around the world. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms are gorgeous and clean. If you’re lucky enough to have a balcony overlooking the marina, there are gorgeous sunrise views over Messinian Bay. The hotel also has a taverna serving freshly caught fish and other Greek delicacies at very good prices. We’ll definitely visit again.

Our room had a stunning view, like a little slice of heaven, and the hotel was lovely and clean. The women worked so hard to keep it sparkling. Breakfast was an enormous buffet, and you could have as much as you liked. We had an amazing week, and the staff were friendly and really helpful.
