We were calmly talking about getting someone to fix the air conditioning because it smelled like urine whenever it was switched on. During that conversation, I had three really unpleasant interactions with the owners. One man told me, “You haven’t begun to see me angry,” and when I asked why he was behaving like that, he said I should go fix my nose. I've never been treated like that at a place before. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Coming back to this gem after 20 years was a treat. Leon and his lovely wife are still running the place, and you couldn't ask for a better spot for a break. RIVER studios has a nice pool and is handy for buses, beaches, and anything else you might need. Nothing is too much trouble here. Eating out in Moratika/Messonghi is very reasonably priced, with endless choices, and the shops are just as varied.

We had a lovely stay at River Studios. The owners were great, the atmosphere was nice, and our towels and sheets were changed. The property is right by the river, so we woke up to birds singing each morning. We'll miss you and Corfu. Thanks for such a good time, we'd be very happy to come back! 🙂

Such a cute place, with everything nearby and easy to get to. Check-in and check-out were simple, and the people were lovely!

The room was only partly clean. I found a pile of dirty things left by previous guests under the bed. The person who greeted us didn't seem pleased to see us, barely looked at me, and spoke in a half-bored, half-disgusted way. I expected bottled water because the tap water in places like this isn't drinkable, but there was none. The room was warm, and I couldn't change the air conditioning because the thermostat was fixed. It also switched off every time I opened the balcony door to hang up a wet towel, which was really annoying. The pool wasn't worth using either, with dead insects in it, and I never saw anyone cleaning it. If you're on a budget and only need somewhere to sleep, you could go ahead, though you might get hot. Otherwise, it's a big no from me.
