The room had a strong musty smell, and the owner wasn’t there during our stay; a local service woman handled things instead. Before arriving, our phone conversations with the owner were always tense, with her sounding agitated and rude. When we were loading our luggage into the car to leave, the woman followed us, clearly worried we might drive off without paying. I’ve never had such a bad experience with someone’s behaviour before.

Breakfast was made to order and served in the courtyard. It was fresh, simple, delicious, and just how I like it. The owners were so friendly and happy to share tips about the area and things to do. The hotel is right by the sea, with nearby beaches an easy walk away. 😃👍😍👍😃

The family running Akti Methana were so kind, like everyone else we met in Methana, and breakfast was easily 7/5 stars. Our room was spotless, with a balcony and a fantastic sea view. The countryside is lovely for hiking, too. When you arrive in the village, the view looks almost photoshopped, with the volcanic sulfur giving the water shades from milky turquoise to deep blue. The only bother was all the wasps along the Promenade, which had nothing to do with Akti Methana. We’d happily come back anytime, 100% recommended. Thanks so much, Emilia! Sünje & Manou

Had a lovely stay with my two kids. It’s a beautiful building with a real soul, the owner is super nice, and breakfast was really tasty. All in all, a great place. I’ll come back if I’m in Methana again.
