We miss this place so much. Of all the villages and apartments we've visited on Crete, this was the best. We want to come back.

Milatos is a pretty nice town, with several tavernas, cafes and two supermarkets, though there’s no bakery. The Milatos Cave is worth a visit, and we enjoyed the trip to the Kritsa Gorge. Our studio was modernly furnished and lovely, with two terraces, in a quiet spot a short walk from the pebble beach. The landlady was friendly and easy to communicate with. There was a bottle of water in the fridge, and the air conditioning kept the room pleasantly cool. The bathroom was small but adequate, though without a shower screen it got wet all over. The back terrace was a bit dirty and the clothes rack was rusty.
