Plakes Sea View

The location near Plaka is the one real plus, but the management and service don't live up to it. Even strangers we met on the island were more welcoming and helpful than the owner or manager. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially for the price and the lack of care shown to guests. We were there for five nights, and the experience was disappointing. Before we arrived, the owners pushed transportation and offered car rental options. Once we'd arranged that and checked in, they seemed to lose interest in us. No one asked how the stay was going, offered town recommendations, or showed much warmth. The room had a serious ant problem. I asked for cleaning, fresh towels, and even basic shower gel, but was told it would be done the next day. It never happened. By then we'd cleaned the room ourselves and dealt with the ants on our own. For what we paid, that level of service is unacceptable.
