The ocean view is breathtaking, and the meltemi waves lap on the shore while you sleep. The place is really quiet. Amerissa, who owns it, is kind and attentive to what guests need. There are just a handful of stand-alone homes, all beautifully designed and decorated, and fully furnished. For those coming from Greece, the property accepts the tourism for All voucher, so we personally paid next to nothing for this amazing stay. I wish we could have stayed the whole summer.

We could park right out front, and the owner, Amerssa, was kind and helpful throughout our stay. The luxurious maisonette at Gyrismata, by the sandy beach, gave us a chance to relax with a view of the Aegean. It was stylishly furnished and spotless, and the two spacious verandas had beautiful views. Thanks for everything!

The area is quiet, though you'll need a car for anything other than the beach. That beach is only 100 m away, usually very calm, but it can get rough when there's a lot of North wind, which we enjoyed. The apartment was well organized and cleaned every day. Amerissa, the manager, was around whenever we needed her without being intrusive. She even gave us a melon and a watermelon from her father's garden. A wonderful place right beside the beach for a stay in Skyros.

The lady at reception was very helpful, not only at check-in and check-out but also with directions to places. The room was spacious, clean, and had the amenities we needed. I'd recommend it to friends, and I'll definitely stay again if I'm back in Skyros.
