Delfinia Hotel

I don’t usually write reviews, but I’ve loved Delfinia as a long-time customer and feel I should speak up about the pool, beach and restaurant. I don’t stay at the hotel. The new chef is great, serving generous, authentic local food with a clever, creative touch that still feels simple and personal. We liked that it wasn’t pretentious, and this year’s price rise felt justified. The price and quality are well balanced, and I hope that doesn’t change. The service, though, has collapsed. The pool and beach team have been consistently unwelcoming, which is rare in Greece, and shockingly unprofessional in every way. There are no smiles except from one staff member, no eye contact, no initiative, no organization and no interpersonal skills. I went 10 or more times between July and September 2025, hoping things would improve, but nothing changed. Delfinia deserves better. They urgently need an experienced, capable, hands-on team leader at the pool to coach this struggling young team and bring back the warmth and efficiency that made the place special.

There’s a nostalgic feel here, with a distinct 80s atmosphere. The so-called “bungalows” are really two-storey stone buildings that feel like little villas. The hotel is right by the sea, with a spacious garden and a lovely pool. Breakfast was quite good and satisfying. The rooms haven’t been newly renovated. They’re old but functional, so if you set your expectations accordingly, you can really enjoy your stay. Everything was very well maintained, and cleanliness was excellent. I truly enjoy staying at Delphinia Hotel. It’s warm, peaceful and welcoming, with amazing staff who are friendly, helpful and communicate really well. Highly recommended if you want to relax and be close to nature.

The beach bar was the highlight for us. It might not look like much, but out of all the amazing food and restaurants at Lesbos, its hearty, delicious food was the best. That alone would make the stay worthwhile. We’ll definitely come back! The place is well located, right next to the beach and a 15-minute walk from Mylovos town. The apartments have an old style, but they’re really nice and clean, thanks to the wonderful cleaning staff. I also loved that the pool is salt water.

We stayed in a main property room with a stunning sea view and loved the peace and quiet. The hotel isn’t new, but the rooms are clean and well maintained. There’s a private beach in front of the main building and a pool right by the sea. It’s between Molyvos and Petra, so nearby places and activities are easy to reach. Breakfast was easily the best part, with a wide selection of delicious food. We’d definitely choose this place again if we come back.
