O'Kipos

A few quirks, but the price was good and the location was great.

We were two families staying in August, and the host was helpful with everything. Molivos was about a 15-minute walk, and there was a nearby market with everything we needed that stayed open until 10 PM. Our rooms felt more like clean hotel rooms than a house, with a bedroom, an open kitchen and living room, plus air conditioning, a TV and internet in each. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak, though. There was a sofa bed that opened up for a child, and they offered us an extra bed. The rooms looked newly renovated, with anthracite-gray walls, though some online photos showed the older decor. Everything was new and clean, but the bathroom could use renovating. I’d read complaints about cold water and low pressure, but we always had hot water and the pressure was better than at home. We saw two or three small insects, which seemed understandable on the ground floor in a large olive grove. I did kill seven mosquitoes and flies in one day, but luckily there were plug-in repellent tablets in the room.

My room looked out at the castle, and the view was lovely by day and after dark. You can walk into the center of Molivos in the evening.

Our room was fine, and the garden was lovely. I got to show my sons the pomegranate, quince and walnut trees, along with a vineyard. Some of the Google review photos are outdated, as the hotel now has a modern look. The one thing missing is a shower cabin, which seems to be uncommon on this island. It'd be great if someone from Turkey who installs them came and set up shop here.
