Petrino Guesthouse

The building is beautiful, and the bathroom is modern and very comfortable. The rooms, though, are as basic as they come. A little care and not much money could make them more comfortable: turn the bed toward the view, remove the unnecessary furniture, and add a few coordinated modern pieces.

We showed up without a booking on the day, and they welcomed us warmly. Our room was neat and spotless, with hot showers, basic amenities, and a fridge. There was a great view of the sea rock of Monemvasia, plus a balcony where we could relax. Breakfast was decent and cost a little extra.

You can hear noise from other guests and the road because the rooms have no sound insulation. The facilities aren't great, though the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The reception smelled as if it had been mopped with vinegar. The balcony view seems to be what you're paying for. The location is great, and the municipality provides parking, but the stay still fell short overall.

We paid 107€ through booking for a stay with breakfast, but the room and service weren't what had been promised online. It was a disappointing experience, and if a couple is only looking for a one-night room, I wouldn't recommend it. We just wanted to leave as quickly as we could.
