We’ll definitely come back. Leftis Romantica is a peaceful, laid-back little apart hotel, and the pool was crystal clear and spotless. The gardens are kept up well, with an allotment growing different fruits and vegetables. The rooms are simple, but had everything we needed: a good amount of space, a lovely view from the balcony, and a small, basic kitchenette where I cooked plenty of nice meals. The air con worked well and was included. Leftis and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Leftis is sociable, gets to know you and your family, plays pool with guests, and puts on a fun Greek night BBQ. Everyone staying there was friendly too. The beach, main bus stop, and main supermarket are right outside. There’s lots else to do nearby as well. We went horse riding, visited Corfu old town, took a boat trip and hired a boat ourselves, went snorkeling and pedloing, and enjoyed evening entertainment and good meals at the local bars and restaurants.

The family running the place were genuinely kind and friendly, and I can’t fault them. Our accommodation, though, was subpar. It was in an outhouse up the road, away from the rest of the property, and we should have been told in advance that we wouldn’t be staying onsite. I can see why people on a budget enjoy it and return every year, but I’d struggle to give the accommodation more than one star. It just wasn’t for me. My friend who came with me rated it higher.

The local shops, doctors and restaurants are all very close, and we’d definitely come back. We were welcomed when we arrived at 12:30 and shown to our rooms, with complimentary bottles of iced water. Everyone introduced themselves, and the breakfast and service were excellent and warm.

We had such a good time on our first visit that we’ve booked again for next year. The owner Leftie and his son and daughter made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The pool and bar were excellent, and the food at the pool bar was great and very reasonably priced.

Today’s our last day after two weeks here, and we’ve had a fantastic holiday with our two kids under five. The pool at the apartment was just right and felt safe, and the nearby beach is lovely and calm. Corfu is a great family destination, and this place worked perfectly for us. The rooms suited what we needed. Lefty and his family were wonderful whenever we needed anything, nothing was a problem. Lefty’s wife, whose name I think is Katerina, is an amazing cook, and the food is great value. My very fussy son ate only her food for the whole holiday. Thank you to Lefty and his lovely family xx
