Hotel Marina

We booked when we arrived, and the staff were helpful with everything. The rooms are fairly basic, but fine for what they cost. There are nice balconies, the location is good, and underground parking is available. One drawback was the lack of mosquito nets, since the garden brings plenty of bugs. We didn’t try the hotel food.

Papa Nero beach is only a few minutes’ walk away, which is a big plus if you’re there for the sea. The hotel sits in a peaceful spot, yet shops for daily essentials are nearby. I loved the garden as a quiet place for coffee in the morning or a rest in the afternoon. Anna was a wonderful hostess, always smiling and ready with help or information. Her hospitality made the stay feel personal and comfortable, almost like home. We’ve just come back from a great visit and are still delighted. We’d happily return, and recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, convenient stay with genuine Greek hospitality.

The rooms were in really poor shape: dirty sheets, mold in the bathroom, a mattress so hard I couldn’t sleep, and almost no soundproofing, so we got no rest. They added a mattress pad, which helped a little, but we ended up having to change hotels. It’s a shame to rent rooms in that condition, especially when the hotel is centrally located, has a nice garden and is next to the sea.
