Zefiros Hotel

We liked the leafy patio, with trees and flowers, where you can sit for an evening coffee away from passing pedestrians. Zefiros hotel is also in a great part of Agios Ioannis, quiet, near the parking area, and looking out over the Aegean Sea. The service was excellent, and everyone was friendly and respectful. I'd book here again if I return to Agios Ioannis.

The hosts made us feel welcome, and the cleaners kept the room very clean each day. There’s a terrace with a sea view, and the first beach is only 50m away. It’s a quiet, small place with lovely beaches nearby, well suited to couples with young children. The drive from Volos is difficult, so take it slowly and carefully. Definitely worth recommending.

The beach was a highlight, with tiny white pebbles and wonderfully clear water. The village was lively too, with families and couples strolling around, and Hotel Zefiros was clean, well located, and had sea views. It felt like the sort of place where childhood holiday memories start. Dimitra went out of her way to make things work for my wife and me on our two-day Pelio and Paralia Agios Ionnis Pelion Beach getaway. The barista was a real character, full of energy and brilliant at making a cappuccino. The staff and friends all pitched in to put together a more American-style breakfast for us, haha! Our basic double room had what we needed: air conditioning, a small balcony, a flat-screen TV, and a minifridge. The bathroom was compact, but the shower pressure was great. As a large guy, I just wished the shower were bigger. It was a relaxing stay on a beach that felt authentically Greek, with Greek families enjoying themselves. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Great value and location, highly recommend.

The owner is a really caring, sweet woman, and the employees were friendly and helpful. Our room was perfectly clean, with fresh sheets and towels each day. They kept making little improvements as the stay went on: a piece to hold our two beds together, another nightstand when they noticed we were using a different table, and a new sheet arrangement each day that surprised us. One of our best hotel stays. We recommend it a lot and would give it an extra star.
