The place itself was beautiful, and the sea was fine most of the time. But the house is owned by an elderly man who seems barely able to maintain the buildings. Our rental was pretty dirty, though still in an acceptable way, and the oven didn’t work, so be prepared for ready-made or fast food. The nearest supermarkets are about 20 minutes from Mourteri.

We had a very difficult stay. The rooms were unacceptable and seemed not to have been cleaned since the 2004 Olympic Games. Everything felt dangerous and close to falling apart. There was no cleaning certificate anywhere, and the place didn’t resemble what the advertising promised. The host is an elderly man who was hard, maybe impossible, to empathize with, and he was rude. We were very inconvenienced. For everyone’s health, this accommodation should be closed. Do not choose it, ever!

There’s an interesting café and tsipouradiko in the village of Orio, and I’d also recommend the taverna at Oxylithos. Be careful about arriving at the rooms after dark, since you could get lost.

The apartment is spacious, the price is low, and the surroundings are beautiful. The building needs something, at least soundproofing.
