Bleland Mykonos

We booked two nights, but our ferry was cancelled because of the weather, so we missed the first one. I tried calling the property repeatedly using the number provided by the booking system, but it was always unavailable. I also sent a message through the system, which was never seen. On the morning of day two, the owner cancelled the reservation as a "no show," even though we still had another night booked. Worried someone might take the only room left and that we'd struggle to find accommodation at such short notice, I rebooked it for one night, hoping they would be decent hosts and return the money. When we arrived, I explained what happened to the owner's wife. She was defensive and rude right away, said they hadn't heard from us, and told me she'd speak with her husband. At checkout I spoke to the owner in person. I only got to him after asking his son if I could talk to him; the son pointed me to his "office," a closed-off space in the toy shop with a camera above the door, which felt super weird. The owner said he'd contacted the booking agency to confirm a refund for the extra booking. He seemed comfortable lying to my face, and when I called the agency, they said they had no refund confirmation from him, which they needed before proceeding. That's when I realized I wasn't getting my money back. The apartment was also very dirty, as other reviews mention, and even the bed sheets were stained (see picture). Scam alert. This was the worst place ever, and I wish I'd checked Google Maps sooner after reading the other reviews. It all checks out. Don't support this kind of scammy business, and don't trust the fake 5-star reviews.

Bugs in the room, a bad smell, and dust and mold on the ceilings. The room felt as if it hadn't been deep cleaned in months. The owner was rude and invaded our space, walking right into our room to tell us off because a friend was visiting. Please stay far away from this hotel. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

This isn't a scam review. We were having drinks with some friends in one of the rooms when the owner came in using his keys, without warning. He said it was because we hadn't answered his calls, as he thought we should have. He then spoke to us so badly that even calling him rude doesn't cover it. He also asked for extra money, untraceable and untaxed, because another person had been hanging out in the room for about an hour. The room was dirty, he refused to give us shampoo or anything else we'd asked for from the start, and he was the worst host ever. Avoid this place and don't be fooled by all the fake reviews. His walking in without even knocking is reason enough for people to save their time and money.

The host never cleaned the room and refused to provide shampoo or body wash. On top of that, he entered without warning or even knocking after spotting on camera that I'd brought a friend who lives in Mykonos to visit in the afternoon. He charged my friend 50 euros off platform for being there, then returned the next day asking for another 50 euros. Worst host ever. Invasion of property!
