For the price, I’d rather stay at a gorgeous resort elsewhere. The rooms were just okay, and the service made the whole place feel like it had nothing to offer. Staff weren’t friendly. Reception ignored me when I asked for glasses, and housekeeping came into our room without knocking before checkout time. We also had to wait an extra hour to check in. With so many places to stay on Mykonos, I’d put this one low on the list. The customer service was rude, so I’d stay somewhere else at a similar price.

The bellboy was really helpful and nice, but reception let the stay down. We’d asked in advance for a late checkout and were told it was fine, with checkout set for 2 pm. We planned our last day around that. When we checked in and confirmed, they said no and told us it wasn’t guaranteed. We had to change our plans for the day. The hotel is nicely priced for somewhere so close to town, and the area is easy to walk around.

Despotiko was a very good place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I liked being just behind the small Mykonos center instead of right in it. It was quiet, easier to reach the rest of the island without walking through the narrow streets, and I’d gladly recommend Despotiko.

The location was great, and the room was clean and practical. At first I was given a different room from the one I’d booked, but they corrected it quickly after I pointed it out, which I appreciated. Most of the staff didn’t feel very welcoming. The tall man at reception was the exception, polite and professional throughout. A good stay overall, though the welcome could have been warmer.

A warm, cozy atmosphere and a lovely stay. Special thanks to Niko (I think that was his name) at reception, he was very kind and amusing.
