We were two people staying for three nights in early June. The room was much smaller than the pictures suggested, with just enough space for two single beds pushed together and access to a tiny bathroom. There was barely enough room to stand in it and open the door. The host met us on time with the keys, but charged an extra €6 in cash for an “environmental tax” at check-in. I think that should have been included in the room rate we’d already paid, and we weren’t given a receipt. On the plus side, the room was very clean, the bathroom had been renovated, the hot water ran all day and night, and there was AC. We paid less than many other rooms in the area, so it worked for a short stay in Mykonos focused on the nightlife.

I really enjoyed my two weeks here. It’s spotless, cosy, and comfortable, and the location is hard to beat, just two minutes from the bus station, shops, bars, and restaurants. The staff were very helpful whenever I needed guidance. Special thanks and gratitude to David. I’m planning to return next year and hope I can stay here again.

The rooms were noisy, with sound carrying from the other floors and music coming from the bars in Little Venice. The bathroom and shower were tiny, there was no bidet, and only hand soap was provided, so bring shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The hairdryer was old and kept in the room. The quality didn’t justify the price. We stayed at the Florance Apartments in Mykonos during the last week of August. On arrival, the host showed us to our room and immediately asked for the tourist tax without giving a receipt. We didn’t hear from him again all week. On the last day, he only contacted us on WhatsApp to remind us to leave by 11:00 AM. Our shuttle wasn’t until 6:00 PM and our flight was at 7:55 PM, so we asked if we could keep the key longer and enjoy another morning at the beach. We returned one room, and he let us keep the other until 1:00 PM. For our luggage, he sent us to a paid Loc Room just steps from the windmills. I wondered why he couldn’t at least let us leave our bags in the cleaning lady's closet. I also asked if he could print our boarding passes, but got only a reminder about the 11:00 a.m. checkout. It’s fair to ask, and polite to answer.

The apartment wasn’t up to standard. We were charged tourist tax on arrival, but the host didn’t give us a receipt. On our last day, we asked to leave our two backpacks there because our flight was that evening, and he sent us to paid storage outside the building. There’s little privacy and a lot of noise between the apartments. The bathrooms are small, there’s no bidet, and we weren’t even given shampoo or shower gel. Absurd!

The location was great, but the people and nightclubs made so much noise, and the clubs stay open until 7 am. Booking.com didn’t mean we got any extra messages or emails to help us find our way on arrival. The apartments are very basic and have hardly any ventilation, so there were lots of mosquitoes. The owner speaks very little English, which makes communication difficult, though Italian is fine.
