Kivotos Mykonos - Preferred Hotels & Resorts

The view is gorgeous, the pool is deep, pleasant, and clean, and the private beach is swimmable. Staff were great, rooms clean, and the location is good for a short stay. Breakfast was good, while dinner was very good but expensive, and lunch was pretty bad. The hotel feels a little isolated, with nowhere pleasant to walk nearby. A round trip to little Venice costs 80 Euro. The place could use some refreshing. The bathroom offered very little privacy and had a lingering sewage smell. There was a lamp at head height in front of the patio door, and we hit our heads on it a few times. This wasn’t what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel at this price, though Mykonos is overpriced compared with the other highlands.

We had the most delicious truffle scrambled eggs of my life at the gourmet breakfast, and the service was excellent. The hotel’s privileged position looks out over Ornos Bay, with a magical view. It has a strong identity, designed like a mystical courtyard for ancient gods, with statues and ornaments inspired by the island’s ancient civilization. Our luxurious room had a magical bed, dreamy jacuzzi bathroom, handmade rugs and chandeliers, plus a small private pool overlooking Ornos Beach.

We spent 6 nights at Kivotos and had a great time. The views, room, food and vibe were all 10/10, but the staff and service were the best part. Everyone was happy, amazing, and ready to help. Christina the manager deserves special mention for making everything relaxed and easy, and going far beyond what was needed to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks so much, we hope to stay again soon.

The pool and private beach were extraordinary, with a lovely balance of exclusivity and relaxation. We also had wonderful meals, with refined dishes made from fresh local ingredients, each memorable in its own right. Our suite was immaculate and had wide Aegean views, with every modern comfort thoughtfully provided. At night, the full moon, Orion’s constellation above, and yachts softly lit across the water made the atmosphere magical. The property itself is breathtaking, with artful furnishings and opulent décor. From arrival, staff welcomed us warmly and with flawless professionalism. Kivotos felt unforgettable, five stars in every way.
