Leto Hotel

We had an ocean view room on the third floor, where the view is sensational. The balcony has its own table, so you can sit and take it all in. The room is on the small side for the price and could use a slight upgrade, though it doesn’t feel dated. My wife and I stayed for five days, and the staff kept greeting us with a smile and were always happy to help. The location is ideal, just a short walk to Mykonos old town, with a scooter rental around the corner.

We were staying at another hotel, and its receptionist suggested we use the pool at the Leto hotel. The pool area was clean, not too busy at the end of September, and great to spend time in. White sunbeds are free to use, while the comfy black ones are for hotel residents. The waiter was caring and helped us move the beds where we wanted. Drinks are priced at Mykonos rates. I’d recommend this pool if your hotel doesn’t have one.

The location is very convenient, close to town, shops, restaurants and shuttle ferries, yet far enough away to be quiet. Fabrika bus station is a ten-minute walk. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the lobby and grounds were well kept. Housekeeping and guest service were good. The pool is clean and maintained, a decent size though not huge. There were lots of locals, and it felt family friendly. Breakfast was free, served in a charming balcony area, and our room came with a free bottle of wine plus 10% off our first meal. The downsides were minor for us. There are no queen or king beds, just two twin beds pushed together. The room and bathroom were small and dated compared with US four-star standards, and not like the promotional photos. There was no iron or ironing board in our room, but guest service brought them when we asked. The room quality may not meet what you expect from a four-star hotel, but it’s otherwise a great place to stay for the location and friendly staff. I’d recommend it unless you’re celebrating something special and want a more upscale room.

Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, and the WiFi was excellent and free. The location was perfect, and our room maid was exceptional, the kind of person any executive housekeeper would dream of having on their team. The three stars are because the bath and face towels were stained, and housekeeping still put them in the rooms. Even if washed properly, a stained towel looks and feels dirty, which is totally unacceptable. We also wished we could have a coffee or drink after 12:00hrs. Those were the only negatives during our seven-night stay.
