Maria, the innkeeper, was a fantastic host and gave us all the recommendations and details we needed for a day exploring beaches, shopping, and nightlife. The hotel was simple and had all the comforts we needed, with rooms opening onto balconies that look over a sweet courtyard full of trees and flowers. It was also a very reasonable price, and we slept really well. The location is excellent, tucked into the charming stone streets of Mykonos near luxury boutiques, local shops, and great cafes. Highly recommend.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast was simple but flavorful, and there was enough to leave us satisfied. Our cozy room was surprisingly quiet despite the music and city noise outside, and it got wonderfully dark at night for good sleep. The bathroom was small but laid out well. We also loved relaxing on the balcony, with its lovely view of the garden and the paths through the streets. I really recommend staying here.

Maria runs Matina Hotel with so much care. She's warm, attentive, and makes you feel right at home, which made our stay extra special. The hotel is centrally located in Mykonos and has a peaceful garden oasis. You may hear some of the town's buzz, but closing the window keeps things quiet. Highly recommend! Emre&Ece

Getting to the hotel by taxi isn't possible since it's in the old town, so keep that in mind. Once you're there, it's quiet, though, and you can relax while still being just a minute's walk from some of the prettiest streets in Mykonos town. The family-style welcome made us want to come back. The hotel is beautiful and sweet. Our room wasn't huge, but it was big enough and comfortable. We slept well, and the AC worked nicely.

The garden was especially lovely, and the women running the hotel were so friendly and helpful. We ended up staying three nights at Matina after ferry strikes left us stuck on the island, and we had a different room each night. Every room was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet while we were there in the off season, though I can't say what it's like in busier months. Definitely recommend this little hotel tucked away in Mykonos town.
