Orpheas Rooms

The rooms are compact, but thoughtfully put together. Mine, number 11, had an incredible sea view through the glass door, and the shared terrace looked out over Agiou Artemiou on the way to the windmills. I slept well in the comfortable bed, and the spacious bathroom had a fantastic shower. There was also an iron and board, coffee machine and pods, herbal tea, cups, a fridge, and a wardrobe. Everything was spotless, and the staff were very friendly. I know Mykonos well, so Orpheas's position was a big reason I booked it. Fabrika's bus and taxi stop is just a few steps away, with the main streets, windmill area, and car park at the village entrance close by too. Megali Ammos isn't the prettiest beach, but it's handy and only a few minutes away. One thing to keep in mind: the stairs to the rooms are steep. If mobility is an issue, you could ask about a room with easier access.

We had a very pleasant stay and loved how close it is to town, Little Venice, the shops, and places to eat. Some rooms look out over the water, which is a nice bonus for those guests. Their bathrooms seemed a decent size, while ours, in a room without a view, was quite small.

The price was good, and the location made it easy to get to the bus station, windmills, restaurants, and shops. I liked having a tiny balcony for breakfast, though it got too hot there later in the day. Getting luggage up the narrow stairs is a bit of a job. The best part was wandering the lovely little cobblestone alleys.

The room I was given was pretty small, though my friend's was better. The ocean view was lovely, but you see it from outside the room, so I felt the description was misleading. Chris was very helpful, and the cleaning lady was lovely too. All in all, it was worth it.
