Stelios View Mykonos Town

The room itself was okay and the price was good, though the value for money wasn’t. We got a free transfer when checking in, but the check-out transfer costs three times as much as a taxi. It’s close to a 24/7 bakery and the old Mykonos town. The downsides outweighed the good points, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Getting in and out means climbing about three minutes’ worth of stairs, and our room had no windows at all, which felt suffocating. We asked whether another room was available because we were struggling to sleep. The answer was that we should have booked a room with a view if we wanted a window. We weren’t asking for a view, just an ordinary window so we could breathe. The transfer woman and the man who helped with our luggage were very friendly, but the receptionist seemed like she never wanted to help. Reception is open only from 8am to 10pm. When we arrived late at night, we were out of toilet paper and couldn’t get anyone to help. Because of the stairs, they offer to carry luggage from your room to the bottom of them. I arranged this for checkout the day before, but nobody showed up. When I went to reception, they said the luggage guy was occupied and wasn’t coming.

Stelios view is just a five-minute walk from the port, though getting there involves a lot of stairs. We had a lovely view of the old port and ocean, and enjoyed the beautiful sunset. The bathroom had been renovated, and the staff were kind and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay, even though the bed wasn’t comfortable.

The location and view were good, but the stay wasn’t worth the price. Noise came through the hallway because there was no sound insulation, and there was also traffic noise from the nearby street and a parking lot that stayed open all night. I met two women at reception, and both seemed as though it was their first day on the job. The reception is at the far end of the building, opposite the entrance, and the corridors are a maze. After hauling your suitcases up 50-60 steps, you really don’t want to walk any farther. Sorry, Stelios, but I don’t think this place is worth what you charge. Spend your money elsewhere or upgrade to somewhere quieter and more peaceful for your stay in Mykonos.

The host was friendly and very helpful, and the location and bedroom view were amazing. Reaching the apartment takes about five minutes on foot, including climbing steps, which gets tough after doing it several times. Everything else was very nice, but the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable.
