The complimentary rides to and from the port were a nice extra. Mylopotas beach is only a short walk away, though renting an umbrella or sunbed there is pretty pricey. There are some great-quality restaurants and bars in Mylopotas, but they’re on the expensive side. Farout beach club is there too. Most of the nightlife is in Chora, so you’ll need a bus or taxi each night, or a rental car, bike or quad, which can also get pricey. The bus costs 2€ each way and runs every 15 minutes until midnight. This is a family-run place with friendly, polite owners and staff who are happy to help. The rooms, pool and grounds were always clean and tidy. Don’t expect five-star accommodation, but the rooms are spacious, nicely appointed and very clean, and the atmosphere is warm. The pool is a decent size and kept clean. We had an excellent stay at the Island House.

A lovely spot to unwind by the pool or out on your balcony. The owners are really nice and happy to help with whatever you need. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

We especially liked the garden and pool, and the owners were so kind. We stayed for five days in early June, and the whole place had a really relaxing feel. Our room was bright and clean, and the food was excellent, from the cakes made each day to the fresh Greek salads and yogurt with fruit. Thank you! :)

The staff made our stay, going out of their way to help and make everything feel special. They even arranged a free shuttle from the port and cooked for us outside the restaurant’s usual hours. It’s in a great spot, with buses and restaurants close by. The place itself is beautiful and ended up being one of our favourite stays in Greece. I can’t recommend it enough.
