Alexander Rooms

My partner and I were charged for the room twice, with both payments taken from our bank accounts. The woman at the desk said the payments had been declined, then still asked us to pay in cash as well. Unfortunately, she’s not a good person. I strongly recommend avoiding Alexander rooms and Argolis Hotel altogether so you don’t get ripped off.

The owner and employees were kind and clearly trying their best, which makes me wish I could rate the stay better. But for what we paid, it was a waste of money. The building and furnishings were very old, and there were hardly any basics: no microwave, shower soap, water bottles, or cups for drinking water. We had to ask for more than one toilet paper roll. There’s an elevator, and they offered us another night free, but we declined because we wanted to leave as soon as possible. The toilet broke on day one, the sink made a loud noise whenever it was turned on, the air conditioning barely worked, and the towels felt like sandpaper. It isn’t near the beach or town square as advertised. I wouldn’t call this a hotel.

I found this place on Trivago using the pet friendly filter and booked a room. I called to confirm, then cancelled after the owner clarified that pets weren’t allowed. She refused to refund me, even after I asked her to check Trivago for the listing I was describing. She hung up on me twice, so I had to cancel my card. Thieves. DO NOT GO...

I wouldn’t give this place a single star. The bathroom was dirty, the faucet didn’t work, and the air conditioner was broken. The woman at reception was extremely rude. When we entered the room, she told us not to sit on either of the two beds, which was unacceptable. Then late at night, she’d given us the wrong keys again. We were left outside and had to pay for somewhere else to stay.
