Room 4 was a little tight, but manageable, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. The hotel is over 400 years old, with a historic feel, and is clearly well maintained. It’s in the old town, a perfect base for exploring. The building is only part of what made the stay great: the staff were warm throughout. Irene at reception even helped bring my luggage upstairs, and the breakfast team greeted us cheerfully each morning. Breakfast was served at the table, with a classy spread of breads, pastries, ham, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, orange juice, coffee, and tea. There was so much that we could only eat half. A tip if you have lots of bags: the parking up the hill is closer, but the path is rough and hard to walk, with stairs. Drive to Saint Spyridon Square to unload first. The route from there is flat and easy, then you can park near Vadileos Konstantinou and walk to the hotel. It’s a great place to stay when visiting the area.

The sea-view God Suite was really comfortable, and every suite has its own story. The furniture comes from the owners' personal collection, which adds to the unusual, historic-movie feeling of the place. It was a unique and interesting stay. The young woman who welcomed us at check-in was warm and helpful, even though I told her about the birthday surprise quite late. The breakfast team were kind, joyful, and polite, and their positive energy made our mornings. Thanks to everyone working there. I’d confidently recommend it for a distinctive stay rather than a luxury one. We definitely enjoyed our time.

The people working there were wonderful and caring, but the rooms were truly awful. They felt extremely dated, the floor and bed squeaked, and the electricity was faulty. After the staff had left, we found that the bathroom had no light, so we had to shower in the dark. The door to the hallway wouldn’t close all the way, which meant no privacy at all. We were sadly very disappointed with our stay at ILION. I really considered booking another hotel after arriving, and couldn’t recommend this place.

Room 2 was a lovely, unusual place and I’d recommend it. I would have given it top marks, but the jacuzzi and digital TV weren’t working. That wasn’t a big deal, though. W

The old-town setting puts you among historic streets and good local spots, and the price felt excellent for the quality, atmosphere, and location. ILION Hotel Suites has lots of charm, with clean, comfortable rooms decorated in an authentic classic style. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and breakfast was delicious with a nice range to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it for a charming, authentic experience in Nafplio.
